My bike is equipped with hydraulic disc brakes. How do I fix a brake lever that is loose and hit the handlebars?

My bike is Rainier giant brakes are "unique" model by Hayes overtime, the brakes are loose and are now hitting the handlebars when I wish I brake suddenly to avoid draining the system

Most hydraulic brakes have an adjustment screw which is accessible between the lever and bars. Hayes on one of its very small hex screw that can be bolted to take the game on the lever. They are somewhat difficult to access because of the position, but a few turns clockwise should take care of your problem. Be sure that your hex wrench is properly seated in the socket, because they have very thin edges and easily wallow time if the key is not correctly installed. Remember to check the electrodes themselves to excessive wear, if is not at least 1 / 16 "left pad to change too.
