Can I upgrade the handlebars on my Schwinn Sidewinder 2.6 FS bicycle?
I just got it, and I love the bike but would prefer to have vertically curved handlebars [like the ones on professional "race" bikes]. Is this possible? If so, where can I get them?

A Schwinn Sidewinder is a so-called mountain bike. I refer to it as a "so-called" mountain bike because of the safety warning sticker on it. I quote, "This bicycle was not designed for competition, stunting, jumping, or off-road use." Look for it. It's on there somewhere. Links below...
Is it possible? Anything is possible given enough time & money. Is it feasible? No. You would need not only new handlebars, but new shifters/brake handles & re-routing the shift & brake cables. The combination shift & brake handles used on today's racing bikes would cost more than what you paid for the bike. And they are all 8 & 9 speed shifters. Another link below... So, you would also need to swap out the 7 speed freewheel hub for an 8 or 9 speed cassette hub. That would mean a complete new rear wheel & gears. That's at least another $100.
If you wanted a bike with drop down style racing handlebars, you should've just went to a REAL bicycle shop & bought a REAL bicycle. That may not be the answer you want to hear - but it's the truth. A Schwinn Sidewinder from a discount store isn't what anyone would call 'top of the line'. Pretty low end bike.
